1st North American Chinese AI Music Creative Competition 2026–2027 Launches!

Hosts: NACUAA chapters, ZJUAA NC, and AI clubs

To celebrate the 130th anniversary of Zhejiang University and the 15th anniversary of ZJUAA NC, this competition is jointly organized by the Zhejiang University Alumni Association of North Carolina (ZJUAA NC), sister alumni associations, and NACUAA chapters.

Mission & Purpose

To celebrate the 130th anniversary of Zhejiang University and the 15th anniversary of ZJUAA NC, this competition is jointly organized by the Zhejiang University Alumni Association of North Carolina (ZJUAA NC), and sister alumni associations in the US East (Tennessee, Philadelphia, Rhode Island, Florida, etc.), along with NACUAA chapters (North Carolina, South Carolina, Northern California, Silicon Valley, Southern California) and the AI Entrepreneurship Club.

Creative Categories (8 Directions)

  • Poetry Writing: Classical poetry or modern verses.
  • Lyrics Writing: Expressive and narrative songwriting.
  • Composition: Melodic compositions and charts.
  • Arranging: Digital and acoustic instrumentation.
  • Vocals: Live or AI-blended vocal performances.
  • A Cappella: Multi-part vocal arrangements.
  • Instrumental: Solos, ensembles, or synthesized music.
  • Music Video / MV: Thematic music videos and cinematic graphics.

Important Timeline

  • Registration Deadline: August 28, 2026 (Midnight EDT)
  • Preliminary Selection: Sept 26–28, 2026 (Auditions)
  • University Showcase: Sept 30, 2026 (Nomination to ZJU celebration)
  • Alliance Semifinals: Dec 12, 2026 (East vs. West showdown)
  • Grand Finals: Feb 27, 2027
